Common Questions
Acupuncture needles are extremely thin and very different from the needles used for injections or blood draws. Most people feel little to nothing when they're inserted, although you may briefly notice pressure, tingling, warmth, heaviness, or a mild ache at certain points. Treatment should never feel sharp or unbearable, and we'll always adjust if something feels uncomfortable.
You don't have to figure that out on your own. If you're unsure whether acupuncture, massage, cupping, herbal medicine, or movement care makes the most sense, tell us what's going on and we'll help guide you toward the best place to start.
Yes. Depending on your goals, acupuncture and massage can complement one another, and cupping or movement work may also be incorporated when appropriate. We'll recommend a plan based on what you're dealing with rather than automatically adding treatments you don't need.
There isn't an honest one-size-fits-all answer. It depends on what you're coming in for, how long it has been going on, and how your body responds. After your first visit, we'll discuss what we recommend and why... without locking you into a giant treatment package.
